Tarentum Borough Receives $1.3 Million in Water Project Grants

Borough of Tarentum – We are thrilled to announce that Tarentum Borough has been awarded two substantial grants from the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) to support our various water upgrade projects. This generous funding will advance our efforts to repair, upgrade, and maintain our water system.

The grants, amounting to $1,300,000.00, will enable us to upgrade our mechanical equipment at the water plant and to construct a storage tank necessary to alleviate water pressure issues in our system. The CFA’s support provides the financial resources needed and reaffirms the importance and urgency of addressing water-related issues in our region. The Borough believes that access to clean water is a fundamental human right, and this grant continues to help make that a reality for our municipality and others who utilize or purchase water from Tarentum Borough.

We thank Representative Steele, Senator Williams, and the Commonwealth Financing Authority for their trust and support in making these grants possible. We also thank our dedicated staff, Council Members, and community partners whose tireless efforts make our work possible. Together, we are poised to bring about transformative change and positively impact lives through these vital water projects.
