Due to the significant winter weather event forecast over the next 48 hours, Tarentum Borough has declared a State of Emergency, effective 10:00 PM Saturday evening through 10:00 PM Monday, as a preparedness measure.
This declaration allows the Borough to shift staffing and resources in accordance with established contingency plans if needed, and to coordinate with County and State partners for additional support if needed. At this time, these actions are precautionary.
We hope these measures will not be necessary, but we believe in being prepared to respond quickly should conditions deteriorate.
Residents are urged to stay safe and avoid travel unless absolutely necessary. Limiting travel helps keep roads clear for plow crews and emergency responders.
Additional updates will be provided as conditions warrant.
