May 1, 2025:

Our Public Works crews and Electric Department linemen are still out today trimming trees and clearing debris near power lines across town. We’re incredibly grateful for their continued hard work and dedication to keeping Tarentum safe and running smoothly. Special thanks as well to the Tarentum Borough Police Department for assisting with road closures and ensuring public safety.

Following the recent storm, approximately 20 households in Tarentum lost power. Thanks to the efforts of our crews, power was restored to most by 11:45 PM that same evening. We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation during the response.

⛈️ Please note: There is potential for another storm today. Now is a good time to charge your devices and gather any storm supplies you may need. While Tarentum owns and maintains its electric distribution lines, our power is supplied through a West Penn Power interconnect. If they experience issues, it could affect our local service.
