RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH OF TARENTUM, COUNTY OF ALLEGHENY, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA APPROVING THE ACQUISITION AND SUBSEQUENT DISPOSITION OF NUMEROUS PARCELS OF VACANT PROPERTY KNOWN AS BLOCK AND LOT NUMBER 1336-P-8 WOULD BE IN ACCORD WITH THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF TARENTUM BOROUGH.
- Motion to approve Resolution 18-15:
RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH OF TARENTUM, COUNTY OF ALLEGHENY, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA WHICH ACKNOWLEDGES THAT NO EMPLOYEE CONTRIBUTION IS REQUIRED BY MEMBERS OF THE BOROUGH OF TARENTUM POLICE DEPARTMENT IN TO THE POLICE PENSION PLAN.
- Motion to appoint Greg Blythe to a five year term on the Tarentum Borough Zoning Hearing Board, said term to expire December 31, 2022.
- Motion to approve that Tarentum Borough Trick or Treat night be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
- Motion to approve the request from the Tarentum Borough Recreation Board to hold the Boo Festival in Tarentum Park on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and further requesting to block First Avenue from Ross Street to Corbet Street.
- Motion to approve the request from the Tarentum Borough Recreation Board to hold the Tarentum/Brackenridge Annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 1:00 PM.
Motion to adjourn the meeting.

Motion by Ms. Fox, second by Mr. Dadowski to accept the minutes of the August 9, 2018 meeting. The motion carried unanimously.
Ms. Gina Landa, 512 E 6th Avenue, informed council about Allegheny Goatscape project. Indicated that the Borough should consider using goats to address the overgrowth in various areas of town. Provided information packet to Borough Manager.
Mr. Jim Bowser, 314 W 8th Avenue, asked about vacant properties in the Borough and how many we currently have.
Ms. Cindy Homburg, 538 E 10th Avenue, informed council about the upcoming library week events taking place at the Community Library of Allegheny Valley.

Scarecrow contest registration under way. Fall Festival on September 13, 14, and 15, 2018. Boo Festival taking place October 20, 2018 at Riverview Park.
