Motion to pay the Borough bills for the month of July 2018.
1. Motion to ratify the execution of a Master Power Purchase and Sale Agreement between Tarentum Borough and PSEG Energy Resources & Trade, LLC for the temporary purchase of electric supply through August 31, 2018.
2. Motion to authorize the Borough Manager to execute an Estoppel Certificate with CTI Towers.
3. Motion to accept the Separation Agreement between Tarentum Borough and Robert Betts.
4. Motion to authorize the Borough Manager to advertise for the position of Public Works Director.
5. Motion to grant the request from Summit Hose to hold the annual Fall Festival from September 13-15, 2018 with permission to block First Avenue between Ross Street and Corbett Street, including all side streets leading to First Avenue, from Wednesday, September 12 at 5:00 p.m. through Saturday, September 15 at 11:59 p.m.
6. Motion to grant the request from Stacey Hayden to utilize the stage pavilion for a birthday party on Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
7. Motion to accept the resignation of Hugh Fox from the Tarentum Borough Planning Commission, said term expiring December 31, 2021.
8. Motion to authorize the Borough Manager to attend the Pennsylvania Municipal Electric Association Conference from September 12 – 14, 2018 in State College, Pennsylvania.
9. Motion to accept the quote for door replacement at Eureka Hose in the amount of $3,618.28.
10. Motion to grant the request from the Slovak American Club to close Center Street between Conroy Way and 7th Avenue from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, August 26, 2018 for a benefit fundraiser.

Motion by Mr. Cornuet, second by Mr. Blythe to accept the minutes of the July 12, 2018 meeting. The motion carried unanimously.
Mr. George Emerick, 323 E. 1st Avenue, thanked the recreation board for their contributions to the park. Concerned that the special events committee is only comprised of council members and not members of the public. Expressed comments to the Mayor about not speaking with residents.
Mr. Jim Bowser, 314 W 8th Avenue, asked for an update regarding employee Bob Betts. Asked whether the agenda item is related to prior matters involving former manager Michael Gutonski.

Rite Aid approached the Borough regarding possible assistance to aid in redevelopment and/or re-use of the Corbett Street property; concerns regarding parking availability in this location have created reservations for possible investors
Motion by Ms. Fox, second by Mr. Cornuet to pay bills for the month of July.
The motion carried unanimously.

Motion by Ms. Homa, second by Ms. Dzugan to grant the request from the Slovak American Club to close Center Street between Conroy Way and 7th Avenue from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, August 26, 2018 for a benefit fundraiser and further granting permission for Mr. Richards from the public works department to volunteer his time to assist with road closures and barricading provided he receives union approval. The motion carried unanimously.
5. Motion by Ms. Fox, second by Ms. Dzugan to ratify the execution of a Master Power Purchase and Sale Agreement between Tarentum Borough and PSEG Energy Resources & Trade, LLC for the temporary purchase of electric supply through August 31, 2018. The motion carried unanimously.

8. Motion by Mr. Cornuet, second by Mr. Blythe to authorize the Borough Manager to advertise for the position of Public Works Director. The motion carried unanimously.
9. Motion by Mr. Blythe, second by Ms. Homa to authorize the Borough Manager to attend the Pennsylvania Municipal Electric Association Conference from September 12 – 14, 2018 in State College, Pennsylvania. The motion carried unanimously.
10. Motion by Mr. Cornuet, second by Ms. Fox to accept the quote for door replacement at Eureka Hose in the amount of $3,618.28. The motion carried unanimously.
Ms. Fox presented several items prior to adjournment. She spoke with PennDOT representatives and confirmed that they will install a turn-around between Exit 13 and Exit 14. PennDOT hoping to open Bakerstown Road by August 27, 2018. Family Dollar is hoping to be open by Thanksgiving. Little Bookhouse project is completed, they have been installed at the Hoops for Sixth playground, Old St. Clements parking lot, and near the Tarentum Park gazebo. Welcomed several new businesses. Joint Comprehensive Plan committee should be comprised of one council member, one planning commission member and remainder from the public, asked Council President to reconsider the committee members.
Joshua Fox, Summit Hose, indicated that the roof at Summit Hose needs to be addressed.
Motion by Mr. Cornuet, second by Mr. Blythe to adjourn the meeting at 6:45 p.m. The motion carried unanimously.
