Tarentum Borough Council has selected a participant for its Junior Council Member Program and appointed Shane Brown as its Municipal Management Fellow as part of the Borough’s continued investment in leadership development and civic engagement.
The Junior Council Member Program provides a local student the opportunity to attend meetings, participate in discussions, and offer a youth perspective on issues impacting the community.
The Municipal Management Fellowship is a hands-on training opportunity that provides emerging leaders with real-world experience in local government operations, budgeting, utilities, public works coordination, and long-term planning.
These initiatives reflect Tarentum’s commitment to developing future leaders and strengthening local government for the long term.
