About The Plan
Harrison • Brackenridge • Tarentum | Joint Comprehensive Plan
A comprehensive plan is a road map for determining where a community wants to go, and how to get there. Our comprehensive plan will be an implementable plan that is driven by community input, and focuses on realistic, feasible solutions to issues that the community identifies.
The plan will help guide the growth and development of our joint communities, and the priorities identified in the plan will influence where new businesses, homes and amenities are built in our area.
Over the course of the next year, municipal staff, industry experts, and concerned citizens will work diligently to draft a joint plan on behalf of the people of our community —a task that will command an exceptional commitment from all involved. The result will be the Borough of Tarentum’s first major comprehensive plan update since 2009.

Jim Pashek founded his practice on the cornerstones of quality, process, and creativity, with the goal of advocating for the environment, our history, and the people we serve through our projects. Jim has been an innovator in developing community-focused planning techniques, notably the Implementable Comprehensive Plan process.

Elaine’s work with Pashek + MTR includes park and landscape master planning, comprehensive planning and urban design. Elaine facilitates conversations with clients and community members that draw out important insights and information. Her thoughtful approach and warm and positive attitude makes her a valuable member of our team and a resource for our clients.
Elaine Kramer
Lucy is an MLA student at Penn State University. She is interning at Pashek + MTR this summer. Her undergraduate program and past work experiences have centered on plant ecology research. She enjoys working on design projects that involve ecological restoration, pedestrian and bike infrastructure planning, and planting design.
