Dear Tarentum Residents,
Memorial Day offers us a meaningful opportunity to pause, reflect, and remember. It is a day when communities across the country come together to honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.
This day carries a deeper personal meaning for many veterans, families, and communities. During my own service, I had the honor of serving alongside extraordinary individuals, some of whom did not return home. Their absence is a lasting reminder of the price paid for the freedoms we enjoy.
While each loss is deeply personal, Memorial Day asks us to reflect on the collective sacrifice made by so many. It is a day to remember them all and honor the families who carry their memory daily. Our shared responsibility is to ensure their legacy is never forgotten.
As we gather with loved ones or attend local events, I ask that each of us take a moment to reflect, to remember, and to honor those who gave everything. May their courage and commitment inspire us to build a stronger, more united community.
With respect and remembrance,
Dwight Boddorf
