The Borough of Tarentum will be conducting street milling and paving in early September 2025, weather permitting. The following streets are scheduled for improvement:

  • Summit Street – from 10th Avenue to 8th Avenue

  • Fentzell Avenue – from Roup Street to 8th Avenue

  • East 8th Avenue – from Ormond Street to Laurel Alley

  • Coe Street – from Summit to 10th Avenue

  • 100 Block of West 9th Avenue

  • 200 Block of West 10th Avenue

Project Duration
We do not anticipate the milling and paving work will take more than 7 days, assuming the weather cooperates and there are no unforeseen issues.

Temporary Parking Restrictions
Temporary parking restrictions will be in place during milling and paving operations. Signage will be posted in advance, and residents are asked to move vehicles promptly to avoid delays or towing.

Advance Notification
The paving contractor is required to post flyers on affected streets at least three days prior to the start of work. In addition, the Borough will provide timely updates via:

  • The Savvy Citizen notification app

  • The Borough website

  • Social media platforms

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we continue to improve our roadways.
