Tarentum Borough’s 2024 Annual Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) is now available for review. This annual report provides important information about your drinking water, including test results, source details, and any water quality concerns identified during the 2024 monitoring year.
We are pleased to report that Tarentum’s water continues to meet or exceed all federal and state safety standards, with the exception of one trihalomethane (TTHM) exceedance in 2024. Customers were notified, and corrective steps are underway.
To help address this and further improve water quality, we are implementing the following system upgrades:

Automatic hydrant flushers are expected to arrive within the next few weeks. These devices will help regularly flush the system and improve water circulation.

We are actively working with the PA Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to relocate a chemical injection point to the pumphouse for more effective treatment.
Taken together, these efforts are designed to significantly reduce the likelihood of future TTHM violations and maintain high-quality drinking water for our residents.
