Route 28 Lane Restrictions Friday in Allegheny County

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing lane restrictions on Route 28 in Springdale and Harmar townships, Allegheny County, will occur Friday, March 6 weather permitting.

Route 28 will be reduced to a single-lane in each direction in the area of the Hite Road Bridge (Route 1014) at the Cheswick/Springdale (Exit 12) interchange from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.  Crews from the Swank Construction Company, LLC will conduct bridge superstructure inspection work.  All ramps at the interchange will remain open.

Motorists are advised to use caution, slow down, and be prepared for changing traffic patterns when traveling through the area. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
