Borough of Tarentum – Tarentum Borough’s Recreation Board has released its 2023 schedule of events. Some familiar favorites will be returning this year, including the Egg hunt, Scarecrow Contest, Boo Festival, and Christmas Parade.

There will be some new twists this year as well. A food drive will be held in honor of Chief McIntire and Officer Schrecengost. New food trucks will be brought in this year in conjunction with the August 17 concert, and a Christmas Lighting Contest will also be held towards the end of the year.

“Part of what makes Tarentum stand out and a great place to live is the number and quality of events throughout the year,” said Carrie Fox, Recreation Board President, and Borough Council Member. Borough Manager Dwight Boddorf added, “I have been truly impressed by the events that occur every year in Tarentum, and that is a large part of what drew me to work here. Many other boroughs and towns could learn a lot from how events are done in Tarentum.”
